He was the husband of Barbara A. Brinegar Brown. He was born in Sisseton, SD and was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Brown and Helen Brown Sjoberg, and two sisters, Marilyn Brown and Dalcy Biesuvel.

He was retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years where he served as a communications specialist having tours of duty in the Pacific during World War II and Iwo Jima. He also retired from GTE after 20 years in 1985. He was also a volunteer for Hospice for several years and a member of Open Door Church. He is survived by three brothers, Orville (Darlene) Brown, Ervin (Myrtle) Brown, Calvin (Nyra) Brown, one sister, Dorothy (Jim) Carlson, one son, Larry (Phyllis) Brown, a daughter, Deborah (Ray) Burton; three grandsons, Anthony (Tina) Brown, Thomas (Liz) Burton, Matthew Burton; and four great grandchildren, Nathan, Weslie, Madison, and Emily. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m., Thu at Blue Grass Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be 6-9 p.m., Wed at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Rd. Contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 2312 Alexandria Lexington, KY. 40504. CHEUVRONT Thomas Howard, 78, husband of the late Margaret McCord Cheuvront, died Fri, June 9, 2006, at St. Joseph Hospital.

He was a native of Campbellsville, KY, and formerly of Winchester, KY, he was the son of the late Uriel and Marion Russell Cheuvront. Survivors include three daughters and son-in-laws, Fran (Berry) Dunn, Jan Mayes, Tommi (Rob) Robinson, three granddaughters, MacKenzie Mayes, Alexandra Mayes and Hali Robinson, five brothers and sister-in-laws, William Cheuvront, Karl (Phyllis) Cheuvront, Edward (Patty) Cheuvront, Bert Cheuvront, Robert (Connye) Cheuvront, one sister and brotherin-law, Ecton Green. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph Cheuvront, James Cheuvront, Kenneth Cheuvront and one sister Jeanette Green. A service will be memora.se 11 a.m., at the Winchester Cemetery by Dr. Edward Mesta.

COOPER Annie Barwick, 99, of Lexington, KY (most recently Chatham, Twp) passed away at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ on June 7, 2006. Funeral services were private. Arrangements by Wm. A. Bradley Son Funeral Home.

Mrs. Cooper was born in Searles, AL and lived in Lexington, KY before moving to Chatham, NJ two years ago. She was an active member of the Park Methodist Church in Lexington where she was a former president of the WSCS (Women's Society of Christian Service). She was also a past member of the Keeneland Club, the Spring Garden Club, the Idle Hour Country Club and was an Honorary Kentucky Colonel. Mrs.

Cooper is the beloved wife of the late Roger Frost Cooper. She is the loving mother of Margaret Cooper Harris and her husband Donald. She was the cherished grandmother of Richard B. Harris, Margaret Harris Hammel, Donald M. Harris, Catherine Cooper-Weidner and Roger Frost Cooper.

She is the dearest great grandmother of Andrew Weidner, Ryan Cooper, Kathleen Cooper, and Patrick Cooper, as well as seven more in NJ. She was born March 28, 1908, in Perry County, KY, the second child of Julius C. and Mary Eversole Steele. She attended school in Hazard and Berea, Kentucky before entering Sayre College, Lexington, where she graduated in 1926 and subsequently attended Stonewall Jackson College in Abingdon, Virginia, graduating in 1928. She was employed by the Hyden Citizens' Bank, and became a member of the bank's Board of Directors in 1929 and later served as postmistress for a mining camp in eastern Kentucky. She began working as a legislative clerk in the Kentucky House of Representatives in 1950.

In 1955, she began a career as a social worker in the Jessamine County office of the Kentucky Department of Economic Security. She remained in social work, becoming a statewide quality control analyst in 1964, and retired from the Department in 1972. In 1930 she married Arthur J. (Dick) Mandt and they divorced in 1944 and in 1945 she married Lowrey Dean, of Nicholasville who died in 1986. Survivors include her sons Richard D.

Dean, Nicholasville, sister, Anita Steele Evans, of Nicholasville, five grandsons, Richard, Nicholasville, Joseph, Michael and wife Amy, A.J.
